As the days grow colder and the pace of life begins to soften, many of us find the holiday season to be a mix of tenderness, busyness, and complicated emotions. At Glacier Counselling, I hope to offer a warm moment of pause—a place to feel supported, grounded, and seen during this time of year. Below, you’ll find upcoming events, fertility support offerings, scheduling updates, and simple seasonal self-care ideas to help you move through the holidays with a little more ease.
Holiday Event: Surviving the Season – Infertility & Loss Support
For many individuals and couples, the holidays can intensify feelings of grief, longing, or isolation—especially when navigating infertility or pregnancy loss. To support our community through this season, I’m partnering with the Butterfly Support Network to offer a special in-person gathering.

Winter 2026 Fertility Support Groups (Comox Valley + Virtual Across BC)
I’m grateful to continue offering infertility support groups in the new year, both in-person in the Comox Valley and virtually across British Columbia. These groups provide a non-judgmental space for community, emotional processing, and guidance from a perinatal therapist. All groups are sponsored by the Butterfly Support Network and are free to attend.

Holiday Self-Care Tips to Get You Through the Season
The holiday season can stir up all kinds of emotions. Here are some simple, practical self-care tips to help you feel more grounded:
1. Honour Your Bandwidth
Your energy may look different this time of year. Give yourself permission to choose what feels doable.
2. Make Room for Mixed Emotions
You can feel grateful, overwhelmed, joyful, tired, or anything in between. Emotional complexity is human.
3. Nourish Your Nervous System
Small comforts like a warm drink, fresh air, slow breathing, or a quiet moment can help regulate your body and mind.
4. Lower the Bar
Let “good enough” truly be enough. You don’t need to meet anyone’s version of a perfect holiday.
Creating Meaningful Connections
During the holidays, it's essential to foster connections with those around us. Whether it's friends, family, or even new acquaintances, these relationships can provide a sense of belonging. Consider reaching out to someone you haven't spoken to in a while. A simple message or phone call can go a long way in brightening someone's day—and yours too.
Embracing the Spirit of Giving
The holidays are often associated with giving. This year, think about how you can give back to your community. Volunteering your time or resources can be incredibly fulfilling. It not only helps others but also uplifts your spirit. Remember, even small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of positivity.
A Gentle Closing for the Season
Thank you for being part of the Glacier Counselling community. Whether you’re seeking support, showing up for yourself, or simply reading along, I’m grateful to walk beside you. Wishing you a season filled with gentleness, rest, and whatever your heart needs most.
