An invitation to join me in celebrating the launch of my recent anthology 'Barren- An Exploration of the Journey to Motherhood'
There are stories that often go untold.
Stories of infertility, of pregnancy loss, of longing, waiting, and navigating a path to parenthood that looks nothing like what we imagined.
These experiences are common but so many people move through them quietly.
I am proud to be a coeditor and contributor to to this book and I look forward to welcoming many of our contributors to share their work and engage in conversation about infertility.
I hope you will join me on May 11, 2026 6-8pm
In person at Gather Comox

Why This Space Matters
Infertility and pregnancy loss are often experienced in isolation, even though they are incredibly shared realities.
So many people are holding questions like: Why does this feel so hard? Why doesn’t anyone talk about this? Is it just me?
This event is about softening that isolation and sharing the work of many woman who have walked this path.
It’s about creating a space where experiences are named, where emotions are validated, and where you don’t have to carry it all on your own.
About Barren
Barren is a multidisciplinary collection of essays, research, poetry, and art that explores the many pathways on the journey to motherhood.
It brings together voices that speak to the experience of infertility and loss.
Together, these stories challenge the silence around reproductive struggles and offer a more honest, expansive understanding of what it means to try to become a parent.
