I am thrilled to share that my and my coauthor, Judy LeBlanc's, upcoming anthology, Barren: An Exploration of the Journey to Motherhood, which explores the experience of infertility through multiple voices, is now available for preorder through Demeter Press and will be published later this year.
As a perinatal therapist who supports individuals and couples navigating infertility, and as a proud IVF mom, I am deeply passionate about amplifying the voices of those living through this experience.
This book brings together the unique stories of people who have faced infertility—stories that explore the heartbreak, grief, and mental health impact of this journey, as well as the incredible strength and resiliency that emerge along the way.
Together with my co-editor, we began this project with a clear intention: to give voice to those who are often silenced in their grief. Our hope is that this anthology not only raises awareness about the emotional and psychological challenges of infertility, but also helps create a sense of understanding, validation, and connection for anyone walking a similar path.
Each contributor shares their story in their own powerful way—through poetry, essays, and personal narratives—offering a tapestry of perspectives that reflect the many ways infertility shapes lives, relationships, and identity.
If you’ve ever experienced infertility, know someone who has, or work in the fields of perinatal or reproductive mental health, this collection offers insight, compassion, and solidarity.
✨ Preorders are now open — and I can’t wait for you to read these incredible stories later this year.
